ABOVE: The Memorial Banner was founded & designed by
Cynthia L. Dodge, 2/1/00. Some NELCWIT (New England
Learning Center for Women In Transition), of Greenfield,
MA, personnel & clients helped in deciding what the design should
look like. But it took many sleepless nights for Cynthia to design what
everyone came to finally accept. Ms. Dodge’s meaning behind
her design is in-depth & heartfelt. Pictured is Ms. Dodge with her
service dog “Indaca.” Indaca died peacefully on Sept. 19, 2007, of
cancer next to Cyndi’s bed. Indaca was a 4-time hero, saving other
people’s lives, besides her disabled master, and was the first service dog
to be allowed to tour the White House, 2/5/00 Cynthia also founded
Tutor Service Dogs, 5/1/95, that aids disabled people in
locating and training their service dogs. TSD’s web site is:
